DESCRIBE YOUR JOB HISTORY WHAT DO YOU CURRENTLY DO AND WHY ARE YOU GOOD AT IT: I do everything...finding my niche. :} I have my real estate license and currently work with Prudential in Monument...but, since that's too slow to make a living I joined SkyWest Airlines as a Flight Attendant in September...but, for 6 years I've been working for HR Block preparing taxes during tax time, so now I've started that in my free time...what's that did I mention I've been married 15 years and have 3 kids???
HOW WOULD SOMEONE WHO REALLY KNOWS YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BEST QUALITIES: straight from my 9 year old daughter... "You're nice, that's all...just kidding, your hair is pretty, you're a hard worker, you help me with my homework, sometimes you're patient, and you're fun"
HOW WOULD SOMEONE WHO REALLY KNOWS YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORST QUALITIES: I'm really not too patient
Where did you grow up: Aurora, Colorado prior to that born in Mitchell, SD...lived in Orange County, CA
GIVE US A BRIEF SYNOPSIS OF YOUR DIETING HISTORY: Lost a lot of weight on Atkins, stuck with it for several years Size 6. Quit smoking April 07, quit Atkins May 07 and now I'm a good 40+ pounds more than I was at this time last year!
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: My kids! My 8th grader has shaved his head 3 times for St Baldricks to help kids with cancer. My 9 year old daughter also donated 10" of her hair for the excellent cause and is on the all A Honor roll. My 11 year old is VP of Student Council at his school & a sports superstar.
WHAT PERSONALITY TRAITS ARE YOU ANNOYED BY: People that are never wrong.
MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IS: Senor Rics ~ Aurora, CO
Chilis & McDonalds ~oops~
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE MEAL: Greasy & Salty
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVORITE DESSERT TREAT: Donuts, Milk Duds, Chocolate, Brownies, Cake!
FOOD IS: Abundant...a good source for boredom.
EXERCISE IS: Awesome! But finding the time & energy to do it is hard.
WHAT WOULD MOTIVATE YOU TO LOSE WEIGHT: MONEY! Just kidding...health reasons, comepetition, etc. It is a goal for my husband & I to work out 3 times a week. So, if I don't I need to make him a Tuna sandwich (I can't stand Tuna, not the smell, blah!) He has to make it when I'm not around & if he doesn't rinse the bowl, I throw it away before I would touch it! Gross) So, that's been a good motivation so far.
HOW MUCH WEIGHT DO YOU WANT TO LOSE: 40+ Go from my current 12/14 back to the normal 6 I'm used to before quiting smoking & Atkins.
DESCRIBE YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT OR EXPERIENCE: Being the fat flight attendant, being the fat bridesmaid in my sister's wedding.
WHAT DO YOU THINK WOULD BE THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING THIN: My clothes will fit! My cheeks will not be so round. My upper arms will not sway with the wave.
WHATS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT BEING OVERWEIGHT: Self Esteem...Embarassment, No clothes fit.
HOW COMPETITIVE ARE YOU: My husband won't play board games w/me anymore!
HOW ATHLETIC ARE YOU: Used to be VERY, now not so much!!! I've ran 5Ks and one 10K, but not even a mile in the past 6 months :{

Renae,
You have lost a total of 8.6 pounds in 5 weeks. Healthy eating and proper exercise and of course training with the best trainers under Spectrum's medical model.
Awesome job.
Can't wait to see what you do over the next 3 weeks. Your endurance and energy is improving daily and I can see the results in your clothing and pictures.

Renae,
Even though you are the lightest contestant, you lost 8.1 pounds in 4 weeks. That's 2.025 pounds per week. That's without cutting calories, eating 6 meals a day, eating healthy, exercising properly and regularly. That is also taking into account your irregular work hours which has affecting your work out routine and eating habits. I think you are going to surprise yourself on what you can accomplish during the second half of this competition.

Think we should do the lunge series on Monday again? And remind me to show you all the VMO exercise - you'll love that one.
